A superb beach, a seaside resort of thalassotherapy, a casino: Ouistreham lives to the rhythm of tourists who, in all seasons, roam the streets and the surroundings of this city which has become famous mainly after June 6, 44 where the fighting lasts particularly harsh. Ouistreham was indeed the theater of the first landing operations with, as a high point, taken by the men of the 4th Franco-British commando, led by Commander Kieffer, of Pégasus Bridge, the Bénouville bridge (photo). Two museums also retrace these events.
