American art museum from Giverny

A century ago, a colony of American artists (Cassatt, Cabot Perry, Metcalf…) settled in Giverny (Eure) with Claude Monnet to perfect their impressionist techniques. Since 1992, the museum pays tribute, through temporary exhibitions, to the links which unite French and American art. Unique place devoted to American art in France, the museum presents works which cover a period which is expanding from 1750 to the present day.
