A century ago, a colony of American artists (Cassatt, Cabot Perry, Metcalf, etc.) settled in Giverny (Eure) near Claude Monet to refine their Impressionist techniques. Since 1992, the Museum has paid tribute, through temporary exhibitions, to the links between French and American art. The only place in France dedicated to American art, the Museum presents works spanning from 1750 to the present day.
