Chateau de Falaise (67km from Crepon)

The city of Falaise is ideally positioned on the north-south and east-west axes. Undoubtedly this is one of the reasons why the city was particularly tested by the fighting of summer 44. This city where the "beautiful Arlette" would have given birth to the future Guillaume the Conqueror, however retained some sites which participated in the renown of the region. The castle, for example, cradle of Guillaume the Conqueror, which was built between the Xle and Xllle centuries. The large square dungeon also which dates from the reign of Henri 1er Beauclerc and the Round Tower called "Talbot Tour" which was built by Philippe Auguste in 1207. Falaise experienced a great economic boom from the Xllth century.
